Accepted to serve with BGF Mission in September 1999, Ellie was involved in home ministry, previously called deputation, for three years. September 5, 2002 Ellie arrived in Fortaleza, Ceara, Brazil. Following two months of teaching English at a christian school in Mossoró, RN, she began language school. Since that time Ellie has been involved in several different mininistries including: deaf minsitries, two different camping ministries, teaching Sunday School and helping with children's programs, discipleship, Bible Studies, English as a foreign language, assistant treasurer on the field, and most recently field treasurer.
This last term (June 2006- May 2008), Ellie focused on her responsibilites as field treasurer, helping in the church plant (New Hope Bible Baptist Church), discipleship, and took on the new challenge of dorm mom. These have kept her busy and taught her further to depend on the Lord for His strength and guidence.
Ellie was on home assignement in the US. She will be returning to Brazil April 21, 2009. Pray for Al and Nadine Peirschbacher as they continue with the church plant in Fortaleza, Ceara, Brazil. Also pray for wisdom and guidence as Ellie seeks the Lord's will concerning her ministries when she returns to Brazil. The first part of this year will be a time of transition and trusting the Lord to lead in His timing.
The end of April she will be staying with Al and Nadine Pierschbacher. Most of May will be spent visiting and helping out in Maceió with Dan and Linda Anderson.
